Red cloth binding. Title in gilt on spine with acorn motif. xii, 388 p.p., plus 7 p.p. appendix. [5] plates, including 3 maps [2] and frontispiece of Bishop Mackenzie. Spine tilted, with rear joint starting. Rubbing to boards and spine with some scuff marks to rear board. Corners slightly frayed and bruised. Two previous owner inscriptions on front free endpaper, with offsetting on half-title page. Rear hinge cracked. Sporadic foxing and stains throughout. Some passages marked with pencil, otherwise a good copy. A memoir of Bishop Charles Frederick Frazier Mackenzie [1825-1862] including his missionary work in Central Africa and worked with the Mang'anja people and helped establish a Missionary settlement at Magomero.
