Published January 1918. vii, 289 p.p., [2]. Green cloth boards with gilt titling to front cover and blind stamped maple leaf, and green titling to spine. Damp staining to boards and spine. Bumping and rubbing to spine ends, corners and edges. Some foxing to edges of text block, but interior is clean save for a few small stains, not affecting text. According to the Editor's Note, "For military reasons, it has been judged wiser to withold the full name of the Canadian Stretcher Bearer until the close of the war. However it may interset his readers to know that he is an Old Country-man, although he is now in the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and earlier had lived in the States."
