Contemporary brown calf boards with blind panel detailing and light brown leather spine label with black lettering, raised spine bands. Rubbing, scratches and scuffs to boards, cracking to calf on spine, rubbing to joints and edges, staining to edges of text block, small chip to front joint at heel. Wear to calf with loss to rear board. Bumping and wear to corners. Ink annotations to pastedowns and FFEP, one pencil annotation to margin but otherwise text is unmarked. Chip to bottom corner of p.p. 29 & 276 at tail, no loss of text. Angel woodcut tailpiece to p. 182, vignette to divisional title and headpiece to p. 203.
