Orig. jacket and white boards stamped in red lettering. 132 pp., stamp of The Shute Institute on f.f.e.p., light foxing to edges and endpapers and inner flaps, some bruising to spine ends and corners, jacket faded, with some stains to front and rear covers, a small tear to head of front cover but otherwise very good in a good jacket. Evan Shute (1905-1978) was a medical doctor from London, Ontario, who became interested in Vitamin E therapy for heart and circulatory problems. In 1948, him and his brother Wilfred founded the Shute Medical Clinc (Gary Kerhoulas in '100 Fascinating Londoners,' pp. 76, Edited by Michael Baker and Hilary Bates Neary, Toronto: James Lorimer & Company, 2005). Throughout their practice, the Shute's work remained controversial.
