Full contemporary calf, gilt boarders, device of three villagers on upper front and rear board, gilt tooling on spine, a.e.g., [30], 107 pp., [5]. Collation: [8] *8 A-G8, contains [4 of 6] numbered, hand coloured double page plates [plates 3 and 4 are LACKING], light foxing and some mild damp staining to leaves, front inner hinge starting but still strong, bowing to boards and spine, wear to edges and spine, otherwise a very good copy of this scarce almanac. This almanac contains anecdotes of events from the year 1796. Plates depict a farewell to William V at Scheveningen beach, the sale of wigs and burning of orange ribbons in Amsterdam.
