Illustrated throughout with humorous woodcuts. Description laid-in. George Ade was a newspaper columnist who left his position to work on Fables in Slang. They were so popular with the American public that they were eventually turned into motion picture shorts and comic strips. Some light soiling and chafing to cloth, but overall a very good, tight copy.
