The Boland daughter, Caroline, is bringing a prospect home - George, who does not approve of wealth. So the servants are dismissed and they are supposed to be camping out in a wealthy friend's house. But Flossie Hill, Mrs. Boland's sister, arrives from abroad. A telegram arrives saying another daughter, Hortense, is arriving with Prince Danilov as prospective husband. So the pretense has to be reversed. Both suitors begin to see something strange going on. The situation grows funnier as the play runs on to a climax that is generally a happy one for all involved.
