Bruising to fore edge of board. Dark smudge to front board. Some darkening and chafing to spine. Some light wear to endpapers, closed tear to rfep. Armorial bookplate of New York author Robertson Trowbridge to front pastedown. On the bookplate is an ink inscription dated 1927 to Pierce Trowbridge Wetter, an engineer who later stood against Robert Moses's plan for Washington Square Park in New York City in the late 1930s.
