From the library of Francis Peabody, his name on ff/ endpaper donated by his wife, Martha Peabody to the Essex Institute, library label on pastedown. Roughly cut edges and foxing, boards somewhat soiled and faded, some chipping to printed paper label affecting text but o/w very good. Jacob Bigelow (1787-1879) practicised medicine and taught botany at Harvard. Elements of Technology in 1829 [Harvard University Herbaria].
