Full green cloth. 30 pp. Colourp plates tipped in. Light rubbing to edges. Bookplate to front pasteown. Light foxing to front endpapers and reverse of dust jacket. Dust jacket is sunned to spine, lightly chipped in a few places, a few stains and short tears, some delamination to foot of front cover and head of rear joint. The famous Benedictional made for St Etholwold, Bishop of Winchester, in the second half of the Xth century, has long been known as the supreme masterpiece of late Anglo-Saxon illumination.
