"50 sets of these Title Page Cards have been printed on a Canon colour printer by Robert R. Reid, who selected the title pages to be included and made the boxes to hold the cards. This is set No. 23." Signed by Reid to limitation card. 108 cards, four of which fold to depict two-page title spreads, in custom black card case with printed paper label. The backs of the cards are made up from Caslon fleurons and Victorian ornaments. Reproductions of title pages which "highlight the great printers and designers of the book." These title page cards were originally produced in 1984 to be sold at a small press book fair in Madison Square Garden by Robert Reid and Terry Berger. Now revised and reprinted in Vancouver by Reid, with additional title pages. To be sold at the first annual Wayzgoose held by the Alcuin Society and the Vancouver Public Library. "The evolution of style in printing is best reflected in the title page, where a book's character and personality are introduced to the reader. The specimen pages highlight the great printers and designers of the book, and exemplify the wonderful heritage they have left behind." - from the preface card. Small damp stain to title card. Short tears to flaps and longer tear to rear of card box, else fine.
