See and Seem Blind: Or, A Critical Dissertation on the Publick Diversions, &c. (1732)
Los Angeles: William Andrews Clark Memorial Library, University of California, Los Angeles, 1986. Soft cover. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. Fine. Item #011955
The Augustan Reprint Society Number 235. Orig. tan card wrappers, staple bound. xii, 41 pp. Slight sunning to spine, else fine. See and Seem Blind has remained virtually unnoticed by modern scholars, excerpt for a few paragraphs plucked from it by Deutsch and printed in his Handel: A Documentary Biography (1955). The pamphlet turns out to be a fascinatingly particular review of the cultural affairs in London during the winter and spring of 1732. The authorship must be regarded as uncertain, though a number of hints seem to point to Aaron Hill.
