Tear to outer margin of p. 11 and upper margin of p. 145. Oliver Spencer (1781-1838) was captured in 1792 at the age of 11 on the Ohio Frontier. Despite reference to the Mohawk, the captors were Shawnee and is an important work for analyzing indigenous-settler relations in the Ohio Valley and the greater United States.
