A Swiss Biologist who worked in animal behaviour, Heini Hediger (30 November 1908 - 29 August 1992) he is known as the founding father of 'zoo biology.' He outlined the four critical tasks for Zoos in the 1940s, namely recreation, conservation, education and research.
