Scattered foxing, owner names on ff/ endpaper & pencil notes on front pastedown, cloth a bit ripple on lower front and rear board, some white, dotted flecks on spine, usual wear at spine, corners else very good. First appearing in 1860, this is one of two of Boole's influential textbooks, reproducing and extending material used in his research papers, still studied in the 20th century. An account of Pi and Sigma first used in his Royal Society papers.
