It is about an orphan girl who falls in love with a nobleman, and is set in the years 1860-1869. Louis Justin Laurent Icart (born 9 December 1888 in Toulouse, died 20 December 1950 in Paris) was a French painter, graphic artist, and illustrator was known for is classic style, sensuality and sexuality, in particular in his depictions of women. He illustrated more than 30 books, and produced 500 engravings in his lifetime.
